Support Services
Support Services is responsible for all supply and logistical needs of the company. The team is responsible for facilities, material management, inventory control, and vehicle cleanliness, compliance, and readiness. The team has leveraged technology and designed efficient workflows to increase inventory intelligence and vehicle reliability while decreasing waste and vehicle downtime.
The team restocks all medications administered by field crews, restocks all disposable equipment, and recovers reusable medical equipment. Once the ambulance is restocked, the team performs a pre-shift inspection, safety check, and routine maintenance. The ambulance is sanitized and cleaned so that field providers receive a fully stocked, clean, maintained ambulance at the start of each shift.
Support Services also oversee the maintenance programs for all biomedical equipment, including cardiac monitors, AEDs, and stretchers.
Fleet
Pro EMS maintains a fleet of 16 Ford E450 Gasoline Type-III (box) AEV Traumahawk ambulances, 4 Ford Expedition Special Service class V ALS non-transport vehicles, and a range of supervisor and support vehicles. Our ambulances are customized and handcrafted at AEV in Jefferson, NC meeting all industry safety standards.
Each ambulance is configured and laid out in the same manner. All compartments in the patient care area are identical and pre-stocked with sealed supply trays prior to deployment. Familiarity ensures crews can easily find what they’re looking for, preloading ensures consistency – all of this allows our EMTs and paramedics to provide care without delay or hassle.
Each vehicle is a powerful communications hub, with both wifi and cellular internet connections. The vehicle creates a hotspot providing connectivity for cardiac monitors, charting, communications and vehicle diagnostics. A telematics system has forward and in-cab cameras to help with accident reconstruction and operator coaching and behavior modification.
Our in-house fleet manager is an ASE Certified Master Auto and Diesel Technician, as well as a certified Emergency Vehicle Technician. Our team has an extensive background in maintaining emergency vehicles. They’ve created a robust preventive maintenance program, exceeding Ford’s Severe Duty schedule and ensuring a high rate of reliability and readiness. Most repairs are done in-house, all repairs use only factory parts and factory equipment. State-of-the-art equipment including a Rotary 16,000 pound, two-post lift, and a Hunter ForceMatch Balancer allow for routine maintenance to be performed safely and efficiently. Software from RTA Fleet Management and Operative IQ allows the team to track service schedules, KPIs, labor times, and failure types.
